BitKeep Rebrands to Bitget Wallet with $8M Compensation for Users Affected by Malicious APK Attack

BitKeep has completed compensating users affected by the $8 million loss of funds from a malicious APK update in December 2022. The multichain wallet reimbursed 11,090 affected wallets and will continue processing appeals. Following a $30 million investment and a rebrand to Bitget Wallet, the company will have access to Bitget's $300 million User Protection Fund for future security threats.
