Charlie Lee: Litecoin will surpass Bitcoin Cash

25 February 2018 21:00, UTC

The dynamics of the cryptocurrency Charlie Lee has created, Litecoin, might outperform the movement of Bitcoin Cash, the cousin of Bitcoin. The latter cryptocurrency is often called like this because it has emerged from a hard fork, or a strong update of Bitcoin network which has segregated into two separate blockchains last year. One of them is the original Bitcoin, and another one - Bitcoin Cash, which some avid fans call the only true Bitcoin.

Anyway, Litecoin is actually getting close to the market capitalization of Bitcoin Cash, as seen from the diagram demonstrated by Charlie Lee:

As of press time, Litecoin’s capitalization makes $12,175,674,037 while that of Bitcoin Cash is $19,538,791,331. The scenario voiced by Charlie Lee, while clearly not without a simple intention to promote his cryptocurrency, is possible especially if Bitcoin Cash core developers do not introduce any advantageous fintech initiatives and Litecoin team does.

There are also always some anomalous unpredictable market scenarios (“black swans”) which can easily destroy the expectations of the bulls or optimists. For example, nobody expected the hack of Mt Gox - one of the most notable “black swans” which led to the biggest downfall of Bitcoin if looking at percents (-94% price decline in 2011).
